Social Awareness Campaign
ShoeCrew Water Projects is a non-profit that resells donated shoes and uses the funds to give sources of water to communities without it. The campaign is intended to get Christian families with children ages 6-14 involved. A goal was to keep the campaign light-hearted so these families would feel comfortable getting young children involved, while respecting the seriousness of the issue. I created playful illustrations of shoes spouting water, which appeal to kids and their parents, to point to the eventual result of donating shoes. Headlines and images work together to convey that old shoes can still do some good, an idea that connects with frugal, kind-hearted families.
Note: This campaign was created as a class project; it is not in use by ShoeCrew at this time. I do, however, hope to contact ShoeCrew to see if they want to use it!
In addition to the poster series, I created merchandise designs for ShoeCrew that could bring in funds as well as help involved individuals spread the word about ShoeCrew's efforts through word of mouth.
